Plays I've Acted in...
Dumb Luck, in a mime performance.
Ande ka Funda, (Hindi: the Egg Principle), as a villager living in a socialist dystopia.
Macbeth, as Banquo and as his ghost. This involved working with a cast of 33 members in a 2.5- hour long play, and learning up my lines in original Shakespearian English. After being murdered on-stage, I returned as a ghost in bloodied clothes to haunt Macbeth's conscience.
Genesis Exodus, as Adam, battling with Good and Evil.
Silence of the Lambs, as an old child-less widow who gets accused of paedophilia.
The Landady, as Billy Weaver, a young man who falls into a fatal trap laid for him by a cunning old landlady.
No One can Call me Fat, as a boyfriend of the overweight girl.
In a street performance, as a Roman statue. I stood still on a little podium in front of an audience of 100+. People were challenged to make me to laugh or move, in exchange for a cash prize. In the end, I successfully stood without moving for 45 minutes and the prize remained uncaimed.
Brahma ka Vaaris, as Manthara, a diabolical vamp who offers advice to Yama, the god of death.
Ji Mantriji!, as an educated, skeptical protagonist.
Moni-Kanchon, a play translated from Bengali. I played the role of a news anchor.
