Our group's research interests encompass developing new and greener synthetic routes to lanthanide-doped nanomaterials, such as oxides, fluorides, oxyfluorides, sulfates, etc. A wide range of synthetic methods like sol-gel, thermal decomposition, microwave and hydrothermal will be adopted to make these materials. We are also working towards developing nanocomposites by integrating ultrasmall nanomaterials such as Q-dots, carbon dots with metal nanoparticles and understand their structure and energy transfer properties.
