Hello! I'm Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay, a recent BS-MS Graduate in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata. I'm a physicist who is interested in the fundamental structure of the Universe and how signals of new physics could be searched for in astrophysical phenomena. Additionally, I'm very enthusiastic about spreading my knowledge with others and I want to be able to give back to the community.
My research under Dr. Ujjal Kumar Dey is on studying Non-Standard Neutrino Interactions(NSI) as well as Generalised Neutrino Interactions(GNI) and analysing their phenomenological implications for astrophysical and accelerator processes involving neutrinos. (Jan 2025-Current)
My research under Dr. Golam Mortuza Hossain mainly focussed on investigating oscillation phases of radially propagating neutrinos to constrain the Equation of State parameters of neutron stars of varied mass and radius. (July 2024-Nov 2024)

I visited the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany to carry out research in the Project 8 group under the supervison of Dr. Sebastian Böser.

The workshop was conducted by the School of Physical Sciences at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, India and hosted by Dr. Poonam Mehta. The course was taken by Prof. Yosef Nir from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. It was an absolute pleasure meeting him as besides being a very accomplished physicist, Yossi sir is one of the most humble people.

In the past I have volunteered for many events like the organization of Institute Open Day, organized by Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata on the occasion of National Science Day on February 28th, 2024 and the National Space Science Exhibition which was hosted in the December of 2022. It gives me great joy to share knowledge with my juniors and school students who are keen on asking questions.
