Welcome to third edition of "Current Trends in Modern Physics" organized by the Physics Society of Department of Physical Sciences of IISER Kolkata on 4th November, 2017. This is going to be a one day lecture series. These lectures will be of pedagogical nature aimed mainly for the young PhD students and senior MS(3rd/4th/5th Year) students introducing them to the current field of research in Physics. This programme includes few lectures by renowned speakers followed by poster session by students of IISER Kolkata.
